The UAE has three main healthcare regulators: DHA (Dubai), DOH (Abu Dhabi, formerly HAAD), and MOHAP (federal, for other emirates). Each issues its own professional license; they are not interchangeable.

DHA license is required to practice in Dubai only. DOH license is required for Abu Dhabi. MOHAP issues federal licenses valid in the Northern Emirates (Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah). If you work in multiple emirates, you may need more than one license.

Choose DHA if you will work only in Dubai; DOH if only in Abu Dhabi; MOHAP if you will practice in the Northern Emirates or want federal coverage. Some professionals hold both DHA and MOHAP, or DOH and MOHAP, depending on employer and location. We help you determine the right license(s) and guide you through the applicable process.
